Re: VCARVE PRO6 + egx-600 NOSECONE ENGRAVING = 0 Z motion

Hi Richard You're right, few people use the EGX400/600 with a nose cone through VCarve Pro, so it tests our memory when issues arise. VCarve has both 2D and 3D post processors. When engraving with a nose cone, you are asking the machine to work in 2D, the Z is no longer controlled as it is now eithe...

Re: Creative potential for a Roland Cutter

For those adventurous to try, there is a way to turn a 3D design into a 2D printed sheet - and then back into a 3D model. Have a look at http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/. If anyone fancies making a full scale Dalek on the LEJ640, I know an 8 year old who would be very grateful!

Hi FSO I am delighted you have continued your interest in CADCAM into retirement. I believe there are many hobby engineers who would love access to CADCAM technology. This is why I am so excited about the launch of the iModela. Have a look at http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v...

Re: Adcock Stanton - what a catch!

Hi Neil These are diamond engraved. What makes the engraving so special is the attention to detail, these are not generic fish, these are exact reproductions. The quality of finish is extremely high, as are the reels. If you are interested in fishing, you will know the name Adcock Stanton as arguabl...

Hi Lance This is something we would all like to see. So, rest assured, we will get in touch with all VersaUV owners if we get a sniff of something. By the way, have you entered the Creative Awards competition? I know you can make your LEC540 sing. You can register here - http://www.rolandcreativeawa...

Re: Intermediate Digital Print

Hi Mal You should have heard from us by now. If you leave it too long, you get less from the Intermediate Digital Print course. Perhaps your machine wasn't registered with us after purchase, or you simply slipped through the net. Give us a call, armed with you serial number, on 0845 230 9060 and we'...

Re: Should I upgrade?

Hi Dave There is a fundamental risk of scratching when any part of an engraver rubs across the material surface while the engraving process is taking place. You will see this with nose cones on conventional engravers and foiled materials. It is interesting to hear you think the MPX80 scratched less....

Re: EGX-600 and Software

Hi Richard

I think you need to change the output device/driver to the 2D version of the EGX. Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Re: Simon Harrison Ltd - beautiful hummingbird necklace

This is absolutely stunning, and produced on what we have always described as an engraver. If you think engravers are all about producing plastic badges and industrial labels, think again. As you can see from these pictures, these machines can become formidable tools in the hands of an artist. Lisa,...
