Hi BigStu

Thanks for the LEF-300 interest.

Whilst it technically would be possible to print on an LEF and cut on your XC or XR, it's tricky and not that consistent - your print and cut machines are fine cutting graphics they printed but they were not designed to cut graphics printed on other devices. As a result you end up needing to trick the machines to cut.

A much easier option on the LEF-300 front would be the get a GS-24 cutter at the same time and cut on that. You could set up your file and use the CutStudio plug in to position your crop marks in a PDF or EPS, load that file in to VersaWorks Dual to print and gloss, then cut the file through Roland CutStudio. For £1200 I think this would be a better choice and give you the freedom to use the GS for other stuff as wel!

Let me know if you want to explore this or perhaps get some samples etc, or you can call our office on 01275 335540 and speak with my colleague James Johnson who would be happy to help I'm sure.

Hope this helps.

There's a simple way to do that:

1) cut your design first (LEF compatible size) and do CUT IMAGE BOUNDARIES
2) cut your sheet at exactly the image boundary line
3) align the sheet exactly at the LEF base point and print.

Et voilà!
