Roland Magenta Bleed

Post by BryceA » Wed Sep 06, 2017 9:00 am

Hello Everybody,

hopefully someone may be able to assist me with this since its become a real pain. I have a Roland Versa Sp540i. absolutely incredible machine, yet I have one issue that perplexes me.

Whenever there is magenta in a colour, whether it black or blue or green, it bleeds away from the image causing an almost halo like effect. This has become rather frustrating since it ONLY happens with magenta. I have managed to get around it by editing the cmyk values in corel draw. removing magenta from wherever I can just to increase the quality of print. If anyone has experienced this before or knows a way to fix this, I'd be more than grateful.

I have tried everything from updating my firmware to full service of the print head and have come to no avail.

Attached bellow is an example of this

Can you post an image of the machines nozzle test. Looking at the image I would advise that this is caused by the head, have you ensured that the head height is set to low and not high?
