Re: ROLAND VP-540 Wrong head installed
The error relates to the signal between the head and the main board, it is likely a fault with the head carriage board or the head/trailing cables.

I'm not really sure with this but you can try it, it cannot harm some any parts. try to perform limit initialization.
Re: ROLAND VP-540 Wrong head installed
From experience i would say that you have installed a very old printhead.
this doesnt mean that its no good, its just that the original SP printers had a slightly different style of head which is not recognised in the newer machines, albeit they look the same.
there is no way round this from a user perspective im afraid

Re: ROLAND VP-540 Wrong head installed
hi there
I tried the Limit initiliation
Still says the wrong print head is installed
All my cables look good, when i bought this the seller said "the carriages had seized up!
So i replaced the THK ones with new ones and new cables, the orginal heads were used
I may have put them in the wrong bit? such as the orginal Cyan went into the Black area? would this make this happen?
want to get the thing working been in my livinroom a month now
please help?
my cable look good? and i cleaned all the heads etc

The message still suggests a replacement print carriage board would be necessary.
