LEF 20: Emboss effect w/o Gloss

Post by Micah Hoptown Handles » Wed Sep 18, 2019 5:20 pm

Hello,
I have a bank of LEF 20's and they've all had their glosses switched for WHITE so now I'm running C M Y K Wh Wh. Trouble is that our ONE CLIENT with a gloss/emboss effect has come around. If I switch Gloss back in to one of the printers, I'm told, there will be residual White for a long time.
I am wondering if there is a way to get the embossed "dome" effect with CMYK.
Any input, ideas, or solutions are greatly appreciated.

What a pain!
You can print multiple layers of a colour or white...white would probably be quickest as would have 2 channels to use. Just wouldn't be gloss finish, but would be raised.
