Write on 'Vinyl'?

Post by stitch-up » Fri Feb 02, 2018 9:39 pm

Hi guys

Some while ago I made some small 'For Repair' & 'Repaired' stickers for a customer. Using a standard gloss vinyl they were next to useless an you can't write on them with a ball point pen!

Today, I've been asked if I can print another lot of these stickers but on a substrate that can be written on with a ball point pen.

So, my question - is there a 'substrate' I can use for this purpose?

That is an option but it would never work :)

Here's what's needed:

We do exactly the same thing for a client and we found a product called Digisol, that is available from Allprint.

It has a textured scratch resistant finish wth a grey back adhesive and can be written on with a biro.

We have printed around 50,000 little labels as a print and cut job for a client with no complaints, they use them to attached to machinery when they are serviced, the engineer dates and signs the label.

Hope this helps.

We also use Digisol for that sometimes (as well as other applications). However most matt (rather than gloss) vinyls can also be written on with a biro which is a cheaper alternative.
