Roland FP-740 Magenta sub tank bags not filling

Post by louisdemers » Mon Apr 16, 2018 6:24 pm

Hi!

I need help!! I have been having this issue for quite some time and can't find the problem.

The printer has 4 colors, 8 heads and a bulk system which feeds 16 ink pouches (2 for each head). I have 2 magenta pouches that wont fill up or they take forever to fill up when magenta is in use.
- I started by replacing the dampers
- Replaced the cap tops
- Replaces the supply lines...all of them
- Replaced the head gasket seal
- Replaced the pumps (both)
- Ended up by replacing head which was ending it's life anyways and still have the issue!!

I thought maybe the 2 way splitter I used was no good so I installed a 2 line nozzle on the bulk system bottle and still the same result.

I included pictures to show ...When the head is filled it does stay filled until the ink pouch is empty and then I'm stuck. I hear the solenoid clicking
when the bag is empty...thinking it could be the solenoid but wondering what are the odds that both don't work at the same time?!

Any help at this point will help.

Thanks!!

Have you tried cleaning the pouch inlet?
