EXG-400 Drivers for Windows 10 64bit

Post by Labelmaker » Mon Oct 14, 2019 11:53 am

Hi,

We have two engravers, an EXG-400 and a 600, both with VCarve Pro 7.5.

We have been running both systems from Windows XP PCs, but the PC used on the EXG-400 has been replaced with a Windows 10 64bit laptop.

I have found (via this forum) the download for the drivers, but when I try to install the drivers, I get the error message "This machine is unsupport for windows 7".

It appears from other posts in the forum that people have loaded drivers in Windows 10 for these machines.

Any idea where I might be going wrong?

Thanks in advance.

You can download the latest drivers from - http://download.rolanddg.jp/en/3d.html#egx4600

If you are using a USB to Parallel converter cable, install as file instead of lPt1 and then change the port to the correct one afterwards.

Hi Kai,

Unfortunately, that was where I downloaded the drivers from.

I have tried to install both the 64 bit and then 32 bit drivers, both with no luck. The 64 bit gives the error message "This machine is unsupport for windows 7" and the 32 bit sees the 64 bit OS and therefore will not install.

I was wondering why I was getting the the error message "This machine is unsupport for windows 7" for the 64 bit driver.

Thanks

In stead of using the Setup64.exe to install the driver, try adding a printer through the add printer wizard, then when prompted for have disk select the directory for the download.

I'm unsure as to the Windows 7 error as the driver is only aimed at Windows 8/10 not 7.

I have tested the Setup64.exe on my PC and this install works as expected.
