Output larger EGX350

Post by label everything » Tue Apr 21, 2015 11:26 pm

When I send a job to my EGX350 for engraving the actual finished size is larger than the job in engrave studio.

For example I sent a square to scribe it was 50mmx50mm on screen but the size it scribed was 125mmx125mm.

Any ideas or advise would be much appreciated.

Hi Simon,

You may have accidentaly set the machine to a different step parameter.

By that I mean that the software tells the machine to move so many 'steps', for example the standard is 0.01mm per step, so to move 10mm, it would say move '1000 steps'.

The EGX-350 can be set to steps of 0.01mm and 0.025mm as some software uses that resolution.
The setting is on the handy Panel under the options menu, if in doubt the user manual can point you in the right direction.

The alternative is, that Engrave Studio is set to 'Inches' rather than 'mm', but from the size it suggest the first option.

Thank you Andrew Spot on that was the problem, I did not notice I changed anything on the handy panel but once I changed it back it is fine again.
