MDX-540 4th Axis Y-Axis Origin Sensor

Post by project-pegasus » Tue May 05, 2020 2:40 am

Hi,
First time posting here but I'm hoping this community can come to my aid. We just moved a MDX-540 from one location to another and it seems the Y-axis origin sensor bar for the 4th axis calibration didn't make it. Can someone with this bar tell me its diameter and length? I'd like to simply make a replacement with our lathe. Thank you for any help.

Sorry we are all working from Home and cannot access our demo machine to tell you this. Hopefully someone will see this and help you.
Another is to set the machine Y axis position to 90mm, then set the User Y to Y0. Then as the manual shows how to refine the Y position this could get you going in the meantime.

Thanks, Patrick. I will give that a try.
