Modifying a bought part

Post by steveB » Thu May 03, 2018 6:02 pm

Hi everyone,

I am quite new to the mdx-40a. I use it along with my 3d printer primarily to make mold positives for my work in the marine mammal research.
On one of the telemetry tags that we build we use a speed sensor that was designed for a wind surfboard. We have to modify its shape in order for it to fit. My question is can I get the machine to modify the parts without having to machine fresh air ie believing its machining the whole thing ?
I have made a jig with the roland to mount 12 parts at a time but not sure how to get it to machine a few curves on the existing parts.

Any help much appreciated

Best

Steve

Hi
The latest SRP Player lets you select multiple rectangular areas for roughing and finishing
There is mention on the forum and the updates are on our main site downloads.

The first picture is how I want it to end up, second is the jig I have made for the machine bed, and the last is how they look when bought.
