MDX-40A and ArtCAM Insignia

Post by AndySimpson » Wed Jun 03, 2015 4:33 pm

Hello,
We have an MDX-40A, with Rev1.5 and the older Modela Player V4.0 software and were looking at buying into ArtCAM INsignia software. Our question centres around some of the features of ArtCAM, specifically, what settings do we need to use to export relief created in ArtCAM to import into the MDX-40A? We know the licensed version of ArtCAM allows true Roland CNC machine filetype creation, but are we wasting our money if we buy ArtCAM and don't use the Toolpath generator it comes with
Best,
AndyS

DelCam softwares do produce effective toolpaths for all our 3D machines, so it seems pointless to export a 3D STL and then use Modela Player v4 (which is still a current product and there are updates on our site).

If ArtCAM gives you what you need, then it does work with the MDX-40A, plus the ArtCAM team know our machines well.
