Ha, Ha! Not the one that just sold on Ebay? That was a premium price!

I'd definitely look elsewhere if you're main material is going to be aluminium...

Thank you for your advise, I was unable to find any specification or manual online.

Glad I was able to provide you with a laugh at my expense, I suppose every forum needs a person performing that role.

Joined this group for advise and to learn, not as an opportunity to provide hilarity for people that want to feel superior in what otherwise maybe a dull existence.

Yes made a mistake as only found 3 minutes before the auction ended and assumed this was an earlier model of the MDX-500 rather than being more suitable for engraving, was advertised as a mill. The seller very kindly allowed me to cancel and I hope someone else gets the machine they need.

Have very little experience of these machine, but want to do some rapid prototyping for a robotics project, I am a software engineer. Made a bad decision due to desperately trying to get my life back on track after been made redundant and being told I will die before I am 60 due to a hereditary condition, had some cash from an insurance payout from being injured in a car accident that was not my fault, ha ha!

A rash 3 minute decision indeed! After a quick read through the forum you'll notice that everyone on the forum actually goes out their way to be very helpful. I guess, you being a software engineer, you're not into a bit of banter?

I hope you're not 59 by the way - that would be a bummer...

Well if this is representative then may be I am in the wrong place. Love a bit of banter...when is that going to start?
