hey, help connecting a pnc900

Post by supraking » Tue Jul 09, 2019 4:45 pm

hey folks, joined up as ive been given a pnc900 obviously dont have a cable to run it.
using a win7 pc with only usb ports. whats my best option for this running either the serial or parallel ports?
seeing as the ports are old and have plenty of combinations, any cheap links are appreciated.

thanks for looking, hopefully i can get it running as im bored of making stickers by hand with a knife :)

The PNC-900 is only supported on XP, it won't work with the Windows driver method for any other Windows version, you can use Signlab which has a dedicated driver in this way.

Connection wise stick with a parallel direct.

For XP then the Windows driver will work with Corel, you could use that cable but would also need a serial crossover (Null modem) cable as well.

For Signlab only a direct connection of parallel or serial crossover would work.
