Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
Hi,
I am trying to get my GS-24 cutter to do a perforated cut but I have followed the instructions as in the manual but I cannot get it to cut thru standard sign vinyl and have even changed the downforce within the cut settings to the highest setting via the illustrator plug on my Mac.
What I would like to do is as an example where I have someone's name cut out as a sticker then I want to perforate around this so I can send a qty to my customer as loose stickers.
Any help would be most grateful.
Many regards
Mark

Have you checked the blade extension?
Re: Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
Have tried to extend blade but still no joy.
I am now not on a Mac as I am now using a PC with Windows 10 using CutStudio Version 2.
Will still not perforate and i'm not able to remove material even at a max of 80gf.

Usually when trying to perform a Perforated cut you have to double the amount of force that you would normally use, 80gf is not the maximum.
Re: Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
How do you extend the force in CutStudio 2 as does not let you enter above 80gf, I am trying to cut and perf at the same time so I cannot use the Overlap settings.

Change it in the cutter's menu.osgx wrote:How do you extend the force in CutStudio 2 as does not let you enter above 80gf, I am trying to cut and perf at the same time so I cannot use the Overlap settings.

Many thanks for your prompt reply
I have changed the force to above "80" in Cutter then clicked on button "Get from machine " settings in CutStudio and message says "Enter an integer between 1 and 80" so still cannot set it higher
Are their multiple places to change the force in the cutter other than just clicking on the force button?

Re: Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
I have noticed you have the Cutting Conditions boxes ticked but this will not enable me to perforate higher than the 80gf, have you managed to do this? As the problem I am having is that it won't perforated right thru standard vinyl so that I can punch out
Re: Creating Perforated Stickers with a GS-24
Can anyone please help with my problem
