VersaWorksDual Crash

Post by tdgraphics » Thu Oct 04, 2018 10:25 am

Hi All,

I have encountered a problem and a work around but I wanted to see if others are experiencing the same issue and if it will be resolved in a new release of VersaWorks Dual.

I have always printed from Illustrator to VersaWorks and Dual directly. However since upgrading to the latest Illustrator 2018, when I send and ai file or pdf file to VersaWorks, and then try and tile it, VersaWorks Dual crashes out.

If I add the same pdf file to the queue, it works perfectly.

I assume that Illustrator is processing the print differently in some way than it did in past releases. Are Roland aware of this and are they looking at the issue?

Thanks for the checking out the post and any response.

Which version of VersaWorks Dual are you running?

I haven't had any other reports of an issue, I would begin by emptying the queue and then initialising, then performing a disk cleanup and then setting back up and testing.
