VS640 more dense black?

Post by Ian11986 » Fri May 22, 2020 12:21 pm

Hi, we have a VS640 printer that is probably due a new printhead in all fairness looking at the test print this morning.

We are only printing in Black onto clear vinyl and the prints are coming out shaded in places where there is obviously nozzles missing.
We have done several cleans, with not much joy. ;)

Just wondering, is there a way of printing over the top in the opposite direction (when dried obviously) to make the image more dense?

We intend having the machine serviced and more than likely a new head fitted, but just to get the current jobs out in the meantime is there
anyway we could get a more dense print in Black?

Thanks
Ian

There are lots of ways to get a better black, one would be using the |Roland color system library and selecting BK-21A or if you have InDesign use the registration black.

You could also look to change the profile to use more black.

you could try under printer controls in vw ,.... overprint set to 2
or in the design software assign the black as bk 100 c 60 m30 will help fill the gaps a bit..
