BN-20 not powering up

Hi there,

Last week I attempted to print a file and no ink was going down, so I performed the nozzle cleaning on all settings and still nothing. I've done a manual clean and still nothing will print. Its been a couple of days and I've now gone to turn the machine on and its just not powering up. Although the RIP tells me if the secondary power is off when I flick the switch. I've tried using a different plug thinking it could be that, but still nothing.

Just wondering if there is anything that can be done before calling out an engineer. I'm also fearing that the print heads have now probably dried up.

What is the termperature of the room? and what is the temperature where the BN-20 has been?

If too cold the unit will not switch on.

Hi Kai,

Its in an office where the temperature is around 18 - 22 degrees.

Speak to the RolandCare team on 01275 335540, they may be able to connect to the machine to better determine why it is not powering up.

Hi everyone,

Just an update. I spoke to tech support and they had told me to disconnect the main power from the back of the bn-20 and turn off the secondary power. Then I was told to plug the main power back into the bn-20 and turn on the secondary power. Now I had to press the on button numerous times quickly and then press and hold for about 5-6 seconds. Kept repeating this and eventually the machine started up.

I was told that the bn-20 had fallen out of its boot sequence, but this fixed it.
