Howdy!

Should a GX-24 be able to be added into VW using a DB25 to DB25 crossover cable?
I cannot get it to be verified with a DB 25 to DB9, nor a USB to serial cable :(

(The USB port was replaced on the GX however still malfunctions, which Is why I'm tying this route)

I can cut normally, but really I wanted to be able to load my prints into it and then cut via VW.

Only a direct two way connection works with VersaWorks, the serial method is one way and doesn't give feedback.

You masy get it working with a USB to serial and a crossover, but it's not something I have tested previously.

Thanks, Kai. I have asked Roland Tech support 3 times, and all they want to offer is a tip to change the LPT port to a USB, and if can't manage that, then they suggest I buy 1yr Tech Support :(

Off to find a DB25 to DB25 Null Modem Crossover cable! Hopefully then I can get the talking happening in VW, and maybe even update the f/w.

When you try the cable setup ensure you have the port set to USB.
