MPX90 - Nose Cone drag marks

Post by GolfdevilFCL » Sun Jan 08, 2017 4:50 pm

We're having to replace our green nose cones after only 4 or 5 small engravings. We use the recommended materials, calibrate the machine etc but the drag marks are creating a lot of waste. I've tried taking off the nose cone but have had no success...if anyone can tell me how they resolved the problem of drags and if it's possible to engrave without using the green nose cone and if successful any tips would be great. I also read that there are blue nose caps when engraving on flat surfaces. We only engrave on flat but I can't seem to find these - does anyone know if they are currently available and do they work better than the green ones.

Thanks in advance - all help/advice appreciated.

Hi Fred,

You should be able to purchase the flat nose cones from the dealer you purchased the machine from.

You can set the machine to impact without the nosecone, only on flat surfaces, also ensure that the print area is entirely in the flat area. The instructions for running this way are in the user manual.
