Hello all,
I've been the proud owner of a BN 20 6 years now and am currently on my second machine. From time to time, I print onto clear vinyl using the metallic silver as a base with the colours on top (Mt>CMYK(v). All has worked extremely well until this week, when I used the same process but the metallic refused to become a stand alone background. On printing, the metallic appears to go down first as expected, but when I look at the end result, the colours appear to have merged. I have done a nozzle test and to my untrained eye all looks perfect with no gaps or other problems. My only concern is possibly that the colours shown go Metallic silver/yellow/cyan/black/black/cyan/yellow/magenta. Is there a reason why only 1 strip of metallic and magenta are printed on the nozzle test?
Hope you can help with this.
Thanks,
Rob

Re: BN 20 metallic ink
Solved (but no idea how!) Went back to this for another try and all printed as it should be. I used all the same settings and artwork. Confused but happy all is back to normal.
