Print on AJ740 and cut with SP540v

Post by visedge » Mon Jun 25, 2018 11:42 am

Hi all..
I'm looking to print using our AJ740 with the Roland crop marks, then I need to laminate the vinyl and want to cut using our Roland SP540v.

I thought this would be straightforward but the AJ740 queue doesn't have an option for printing the crop marks in VW!

Does anyone know how I can do this or have any ideas I can try?

Regards,
Darren

You can print margin marks at 0 mm distance and use manual base point alignment to cut.

Thank you 'mrtn' for your help! That sounds like a good work-around option.

When I manually set the cutter base point to the corner 'Margin mark', does the machine then go to find all four corners before it actually cuts (like it does when using the 'Roland crop marks')?

As I say, this is a work-around but... does anyone know if I can get the AJ740 to print the 'Roland crop marks'

When you use the margin mark tips then you have to manually show it all four base points. It's described in your user manual. You set your first base point in a normal way and the rest by holding the base point key for a second or more when in position. I'm not 100% sure but I think it works like this on the SP as well.
