Joe's 3 C's (#25) A quarter century!

Post by Joe Wigzell » Mon Jun 17, 2013 10:47 am

Hi hey hello,

Welcome to another of 'Joe's 3 C's' :D

In these posts I will try to bring you something Creative, Something Cool and something Commercial.
The format for these 3 things will vary, from images, videos and websites to unique applications, tips tricks and tutorials. Mostly print or 3D related but some things may be thrown in just because they ought to be shared (probably in the Cool part)!
There will probably be some terrible jokes thrown in at the end too!

Being a bit of a geek for all things design related, hopefully I'll be able to find some interesting bits and bobs to share with you!

Quote of the Day:
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

-Thomas A. Edison, American inventor

Something Creative...

Adobe Photoshop and similar products are a great way to add a Creative element to images for print...or for an interactive advertising campaign such as this one: ... r_embedded

Something Cool...

I think that this converted typewriter is pretty Cool...maybe not the most practical item, but an interested take on 'printing' a colourful image!
Using a machine for a purpose other than its intended one such as above reminds me of an experiment our friends over at Roland DME did with the new iDecora:
Something Commercial...

FESPA is fast approaching!! Just a week to go until the 5 day show descends on the ExCel centre in London. For those of you that do not know about FESPA here is a small overview taken from their website:
25-29 June 2013 - FESPA 2013
London, England

Our landmark exhibition, FESPA 2013 (25-29 June 2013, ExCeL London) is the largest focused event for the wide format print industry; providing an international platform to demonstrate and see the latest equipment and consumables in digital printing, screen printing, industrial and garment decoration.
Roland DG will be there with a nice big colourful stand with a variety of our machines and a coffee shop for those that need to rest their weary legs and discuss their print needs!

We will be at stand P30S, come and say hello if you're visiting!

That's all for this week from Joe's 3 C's!

Thank you for reading!

Ta ta...

Joe's chuckles...

The dogs in my area are so clumsy.

I've just had to untangle yet another one from a post outside the newsagents.
