Joe's 3 C's #48 'Bye bye 2014'

Post by Joe Wigzell » Tue Dec 23, 2014 12:53 pm

Hi hey hello,

Welcome to another of 'Joe's 3 C's' :D

In these posts I will try to bring you something Creative, Something Cool and something Commercial.
The format for these 3 things will vary, from images, videos and websites to unique applications, tips tricks and tutorials. Mostly print or 3D related but some things may be thrown in just because they ought to be shared (probably in the Cool part)!
There will be some terrible jokes thrown in at the end too!

Being a bit of a geek for all things design related, hopefully I'll be able to find some interesting bits and bobs to share with you!

Quote of the Day :ugeek: :
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

- Henry A. Kissinger, German statesman

Something Creative...

I love this ad using a supermarket cashier conveyer belt, something a little bit different on an otherwise wasted advertisement space that everyone sees!
Here's another fun way to use a couple of decals to make a pretty dull item a bit snazzier!:
Everyone loves a Minion!

Something Cool...

This output from Belgian design sudio Next Issue on the Roland ARM-10, a mini definitely Cool!
Read the article here:
Belgian design studio Next Issue has printed an entire city in 3D using the Roland ARM-10 3D printer. The skyscrapers and modern architecture remind one of New York. The buildings have a maximum height of 6 cm and are extremely realistic representations of modern-day buildings. “It's fantastic to see how even the smallest design details are printed with such precision. It also offers a lot of satisfaction to be able to see one's creative fantasies become reality,” says Maarten Bloemen, 3D designer.
Something Commercial...

This use of a floor graphic as an advertisement for a book, brilliant idea!
Might have to do one of these for the Creative Centre!

That's all for this week's Joe's 3 C's!

Thank you for stopping by, have a great Christmas and see you in the New Year!

Joe's chuckles...

"Meetings" - what a Jamaican calls everything he owns.

Why did Santa's helper see the doctor?

Because he had a low "elf" esteem!
