EGX-30A engraving issue

Hi all, I've recently had access to the above engraver, after some success, the PC i had been using was replaced with a different one. This has windows 10 (recently upgraded from 8). The issue I have is after installing the DR Engrave software then installing the drivers (2.5D win10 x64 ver 1.20) the PC sees the printer. However when I try a test print, the job is sent to the engraver but then almost instantly disappears from the printer queue without anything happening on the engraver.... This started on windows 8, and is exactly the same on 10.
(The very first time i tried it, it had started working, but was cancelled due to to the material having been knocked. Every time after though, nothing.)
Has anybody any clues?

Check your cables, use a different USB cable to begin with, check the ports setup, completely remove the driver and then start again.
