Does anyone know if there is an option to climb mill using the ClickMILL software?
I'm trying to cut some pockets in a piece of pine and am getting frayed edges when cutting across the grain.

ClickMILL climb milling?
Re: ClickMILL climb milling?
Word from Tech Support is that climb milling is not supported by ClickMILL

Hi, You may get a better result by experimenting with other cutters, you can get what is known as `down cut` cutters that help stop pulling up the wood grain. If your using burrs that`s more than likely your problem. The slightest hint that you have lost the edge of the cutter will make it harder to get a good finish. Good luck.
Re: ClickMILL climb milling?
Downcutters are on my list of things to try. As are,
1) coating the wood before the finishing pass
2) trying re-orienting the grain to the mill cutting direction
3) trying a straight edge cutter (suggestion from CNC routing sites)
figuring out a way to climb mill will have to wait until I'm more au fait with the software (not got to 3Dengrave or Player yet)
Thanks,
