EGX-20 - Limit Switch Reset Procedure

Post by casementsigns » Thu Aug 13, 2015 7:44 pm

Is this possible? If so does anyone know how it's done?

My EGX-20 is exhibiting the problem described here: http://support.rolanddga.com/docs/Docum ... cedure.pdf

Namely upon Power On the machine moves to it's limit position (on the X-axis) but the motor continues to operate. After a few seconds it cuts out but the machine can't be used.

Hi,

There isn't a reset procedure for the limit position on the EGX-20, it is likely that the sensor for the x movemnet is faulty.

Hi Kai,

yes, thanks for the reply, the reed switch on the x-limit board had stopped working. It's probably a very easy soldering job to replace it but a new board was only about £20 from Roland.
